Students will have to be able to define and calculate mean, median, mode, and range.

Mean (average)--add all the numbers & divide by the amount of numbers you added

Median--middle; find the middle of the numbers in order from least to greatest (if it's an even number and there are two middle numbers take the average of the two numbers.)

Mode--most; what number occurs the most or is seen the most

Range--subtract the smallest number from the largest, and it equals the range

We will be working on measurements this week!

Practice with your child using a ruler and measuring to the nearest cm, 1/4, 1/2, and whole inch etc.

P.S. I have added some new games to the measurement section!

## About Me

- Mrs. Burger
- My name is Mrs. Hanah Burger. This is my 4th year teaching 5th grade math at Blythe-Bower Elementary, and I love what I do. My goal is to make as many math nerds out there to love numbers and change the world with their knowledge! I just finished my Masters, and I hope to one day go back for my EDs. I have two amazing kiddos, Mikaela (6) and Peyton (3), as well as a great hubby, Jonathan. They mean the world to me. :0D
